This talk was given by Sir Ken Robinson, an educator, who discusses the problem of public education due to lack of creativity. According to him, everyone should rethink their views on intelligence, and he continue to discuss three things about it.  He talks about intelligence as diverse, dynamic and distinct.  He emphasized about rethinking the fundamental principles taught to children because he believes that using the creative capacities of the human mind can help them face the future.

Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are

Did you know that people make sweeping judgments and inferences from just observing body languages?  According to Amy Cuddy, the speaker and social psychologist, revealed in her research that body languages can change the perceptions of other people by changing the positions of the human body. She continued that human and primates have the same nonverbal expression of power and dominance.  She emphasized that the body could change the mind through the work of the body’s hormones, testosterone and cortisol.  She also talked about the effects of hormones in the primate hierarchies wherein effective leaders has higher level of testosterone.

How Great Leaders Inspire Action

Are you inspiring to be a great leader of your own organization? In this video, the speaker and leadership expert, Simon Sinek, has discovered that all inspired leaders and organizations engaged in doing business with people who believe in what they believe. He coined the term “the golden circle” which he correlates with the three major components of the human brain.  He believes that by communicating from the inside out, you are directly talking to the part of the brain that controls behavior.  The belief of Dr. Martin Luther King is a successful example of the law of diffusion of innovation, according to the speaker.

The Power of Vulnerability

The speaker and researcher, Brene Brown, has provided inputs about her research on shame, courage, empathy, and highlighted the effects of vulnerability. She believes that people who fully embraced vulnerability made them feel beautiful and these people are willing to invest in a relationship that is certain or uncertain. She has sent posts on social media such as Twitter and Facebook to find out how many people would respond to her questions about vulnerability.  She mentioned that numbing hard feelings can affect other emotions which can lead to the feeling of vulnerable. She also talked about the dangerous of making a generation of perfect children.
